From Dhaka to St. Louis: My Journey, My Mission

About Me
Hi, I’m Rajib Sarkar – a passionate problem solver, business strategist, and lifelong learner. My journey spans over a decade of experience in finance, entrepreneurship, and consulting, rooted in the dynamic markets of Bangladesh and the innovation hubs of the United States.
I started my career in banking and risk management, serving as a leader at Standard Chartered Bank, where I gained deep insights into corporate finance and customer-centric strategy. Driven by a desire to make a broader impact, I stepped into entrepreneurship, leading my family business, Furniture Mela, into a new era of digital transformation and regional growth.
Currently, I’m pursuing my second MBA at Washington University in St. Louis – Olin Business School, with a focus on strategy, consulting, and technology. As a Dean’s Scholar and Milford Bohm Scholar, I’m exploring intersections between global business, data analytics, and purposeful leadership.
Alongside my academic and professional endeavors, I’m committed to community development. I’ve led fundraising efforts, volunteered for global youth empowerment, and mentored local entrepreneurs to thrive in the digital economy.
Whether I’m managing risk, crafting business strategies, or mentoring future leaders, I believe in one thing: creating sustainable impact with integrity and purpose.
Let’s connect. Whether you’re curious about my work, want to collaborate, or just share stories over a cup of tea—I’d love to hear from you.
